I like Christmas movies. I bought this movie because I like white chicks acting with fit Latinos like me.
I was curious about how the story would develop between Mario Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart. I know Mario Lopez is a player, so I wanted to see how he plays his game in this movie.

Let’s be honest, Gertrude Chandler(Melissa Joan Hart) is a little crazy.
I mean really, of you saw this chick ranting and storming around the way she does, reminiscent of a tornado of sorts, you’d want to walk on the other side of the street instead of taking the chance of crossing paths with HER.
Truthfully, I would be the one leading the pack, because this girls got more then just a few screws loose.
You see, Gertrude just can’t handle the stress that preparing for the holidays has seemed to throw at her, especially attempting to fool her parents into believing she’s the perfect daughter.
Of course when her boyfriend conveniently dumps her just before Gertrude has to leave to see her family, and in her panic Gertrude does what every woman does…. turns to kidnapping?(yikes!)
Unfortunate bystander, David(Mario Lopez) becomes the victim of Trudie’s poorly executed last minute plan to kidnap David and play him off to her family as her absent boyfriend Nick.
Due to the fact that very muscular David cannot seem to run away from this rather small blond woman, he attempts to go along with her plan while they slowly fall in love.(awww, predictable!)
I suppose their have been worse movies, but this plot is so unbelievable some of it is utterly cringe worthy. What grown man in his right mind would allow himself to stay captive all holiday because some immature woman won’t tell her parents her boyfriend dumped her? It’s all rather pathetic.
Not to mention for an ABC Family movie I am really not sure I can put my finger on the morale of this kidnapping story. Hey Kids, If you ever get dumped too close to the holidays, just steal somebody for a while and build a relationship on lies, maybe they’ll fall in love with you!
Yeah, that’s about how much sense this whole film makes.
Watch it if you want to stare at Mario Lopez for a while, he really can’t act but he is rather pretty… and that’s really all it’s good for.

I wish I’d read all the 1 point reviews before I bought this DVD – they are absolutely correct. It is NOT family friendly and I would not recommend it to anyone. Too bad, because the idea could be cute and there were some funny bits in it, but overall it is not worth viewing. Do not buy it.
I’m very disappointed in this movie. I read the story line and loved the actors so I felt safe in buying this movie. I was very wrong! This is not your typical “feel warm and fuzzy” Christmas movie at all! It has unnecessary adult content in it that I wouldn’t want my children to see..not even my teenagers. I was embarrassed to own such a film and traded it the first chance I got.
The price of this DvD was so reasonable that I could not pass it up. It arrived sooner than expected and in excellent condition. I will order from this website again. I am very pleased.
Bought this unit in Feb 09 and have had nothing but problems with wireless and software support that HP has steadfastly refused to correct. The printer will not stay attached to an 802.11n based router. HP acknowledge this but also refused to correct the problem. So why buy a wireless enabled printer if it cannot be used on a wireless network. Efforts to correct or switch between e-net and WiFi networking have resulted in a complete loss of XP Pro printer subsystem that had to be corrected by using the services facility in XP. One time it caused the system to continuously have application focus switching between any app and the system function. Each time the entire software package had to be uninstalled and reinstalled from scratch. Also had to turn off auto updating feature because it too caused all installed printers to disappear. Again services had to be used to restart the Spool function. Never has been this printer been able to set as the default printer. Each time an attempt was made the default would revert to another installed printer. At one point one the help desk folks had me clear the NVM and remove the cartridges. I told him that would result in loss of cartridge status. He said he would correct that when we were done. Well he never solved the WiFi issue and now I have big “?” for cartridge status.
Am I happy? NO!! This is the first of no less than 5 HP printers I have owned and it will likely be the last. Not because of the faults but because HP has refused to correct them. In July they promised (in writing) to fix the problems by September. Though they provided timely, friendly response the advice was poor at best and never solved any of the problems. After numerous IM sessions and phone sessions I only found one help person who what they were doing. SAD!! My next action is with the VT Consumer Product Office of the attorney general’s office.
I’m in the midst of a terrible experience with HP. Here’s the problem — a known issue with HP — when scanning documents to PDF (something I do often with business contracts) the file size is 6MB per PAGE!!
I’ve been through all of the support hoops and the problem persists.
HP support has promised to send me a CD with properly functioning scanner drivers, but it never showed up. I’m on hold now with HP for the 12th time or so.
What happened to this once-great bastion of Silicon Valley?
If you need to scan documents to PDFs, please take my advice: don’t buy this product.
I had to spend hours, about 14, with HP Help Desk to get this printer to work. I bet the telephone bill to India was 10 times the cost of this printer to make and sell.
The good:
*very good color and b/w copies
The bad:
*fax does not go thru the first time…….ever
*scan copy quality very poor
*paper feed problems….jams frequently
*uses ink very fast…….not cheap
*no instruction manual
*stopped working in 10th month from purchase. Spent 6 days with tech support emailing back and forth. Should be a no-brainer as it has a one year warranty. Finally got them to send a new one today. Its supposed to arrive 11 days from today. That’s 17 days without the copier, printer, fax, scanner.
Time to change to a different brand, methinks.
From the day I got this machine, I’ve had nothing but trouble with it. I have Vista and this printer is constantly crashing, hanging up, affecting my wireless connection, and sucks up ink. I have tried online updates to the software but it doesn’t help. I will not buy another HP printer. I’ll try some of the recommendations here, but I prefer plug-and-play rather than having to manually set up a user-unfriendly device.
