   This is a beautiful watch for which I have recieved many complements. Also, the price was great particularly for a quality timepiece. However,instructions for adjusting the strap length should have indicated that the buttons on each side of the metal buckle need to be depressed in order to fully open the strap. An illustration should be given. Comments by other purchasers indicate a similar problem. I am well satisfied with this purchase.

   Be forewarned that Stuhrling offers an extra year of warranty to those who post positive reviews. Read these all with a grain of salt.

   However, the rating here is sincere. I do love the watch. This is my second Sturhling; my first being a Ladies Wall Street. That one had a problem with the band (which I replaced). But I’m still fond of that watch and I do like the brand.

   I did specifically want a rose gold watch and something smaller than the Wall Street, which is really quite large. The Gatsby is still very large, but a more palatable size for me. (Though I am a geek and love love love the self-winding of the Wall Street.) I’ll post a pic of the two so that you can see the size comparison — something I wondered about when buying this one.

   I have a large wrist, maybe 7.25″, and this fits, on the last hole.

   Four stars because I do not like the clasp. I did need to read the instructions, but once you get it, you’re set; it’s not continually confusing. There are two things that don’t work for me about the band. One is that the last hole is very close to the end of the band, which means that the keeper needs to be overlapping with the clasp mechanism to do its thing. This makes the watch harder to get on and off than it would be for those with smaller wrists because I have to futz with the keeper. (Or, okay, I could ditch the keeper maybe.) The second thing is that the clasp is a thick wad of metal on your wrist, 1/4 inch thick when you’re wearing it. I’m sure I don’t hold my wrists correctly when typing (I rest them on the surface in front of the keyboard), but I find it uncomfortable… it’s maybe twice as thick as other watches I own.

   Still, I am very pleased. (No, really.)

   I recently received this watch and could not be happier! Not only did it arrive on time, but the watch’s presentation was truly exceptional — it was beautifully boxed. The watch itself is very elegant and fits my wrist perfectly. I can’t believe that such a fabulous timepiece could be had for such a reasonable price. An excellent choice for any watch enthusiast.

   Definitely Recommended!

   I loved the style and coloring of this watch. The only caveat is that it can be somewhat difficult to set the size of the watchband on the first try. The directions don’t mention squeezing together the two side buttons which are release buttons. Otherwise, I’ve really enjoyed it.

   I haven’t worn a watch in over 5 years, but when I stumbled upon it a month ago ($35.00 with free shipping) I knew I had to get it. As another reviewer stated, the pictures on here don’t do it justice. I receive daily comments on how nice my watch looks. I love it and would gladly have paid $100 for it. The bonus is that because it was so inexpensive, I don’t have to be so careful with it.

   This watch simply looks amazing! I’ve received a lot of compliments for this watch. I was a bit disappointed when I received the watch since the picture doesn’t truly represent the actual color. It’s darker & a bit more on the blue violet side but I got used to the color after wearing it for a week. Also, the watch is thicker than most watches. Aside from that, I still wear it everyday.

    Having discovered June Christy only a year or so after she passed away in the early 90′s, and having had so many holiday albums and CD’s over the years, this one has to be the best. For those who long for a non-religious holiday album with sharp arrangements, witty lyrics, and superb singing need look no further! I can’t remember a holiday album with all the “stars aligned” from conception through rendition. The vocal stylizings of June Christy, probably too difficult for many other vocalists to emulate, save perhaps Sarah Vaughan or Keely Smith, explains why others simply haven’t tried to re-create this wonderful ode to the sophisticated holiday season.

    It was great to finally see some of the old great recordings come out on cd now. Being a collector of holiday music, & a fan of Christy’s, had me jump at the purchase of this disc. Nice to have refreshing & origional holiday songs instead of the same ones year after year. I had several of these songs on about 6 different cd’s, but to have them all together on one is great. Hopefully more of this style of great music will be re-released in the future? You can’t go wrong with this one.
