I used these cookie cutters with no problems. They did not stick to the cookie dough. They were a little smaller then I thought they were. They did work just fine, though.

This was a fun addition to the cookie sheets I gave my SIL for her birthday. She loved them.

  4. Oroszco says

When I ordered the cookie cutters, I thought they were metal from the pictures, although I never read the description, but once received and used I found that they were no different then the metal ones that I already own! My Christmas cookies were beautiful and delicious!

At last, a cookie cutter that cuts that you can also hold onto. Rolling cookies is great fun in theory, but tiring for a lot of reasons.

One of them is that cookie cutters don’t always cut well and they stick to the dough. This cutter has a nice sharp blade and you can get the dough out easily.

The other is holding onto that cutter through multiple cuts. I interited a great set of cutters from my Mom (aka the Cookie Lady) but they had little tiny handles on top and they were hard to handle. These have a nice grip all around the outer edge and they’re just not going to slip out of your hand.

The third is keeping people from stealing your cookies before they’re baked, or frosted, or delivered to the actual recipient. As soon as I find a good cookie burglar alarm, I’ll let you know.

Set of 6 Lenox cocktail napkins very nice and good price!
    Thank-you! Kathy M. from CA.

  7. Beach says

These napkins are smaller than formal size napkins (perfect for cocktails), beautifully made, in a gorgeous pattern by Lenox. They are great quality!!

Just rented this movie and really enjoyed it. It’s a fun little romantic comedy that will certainly get you in the holiday spirit. Jack Black is funny, as always. He also shows a more sensitive side, that you don’t always see in his movies. That was a highlight for me.

The story, in general, is one we can all relate to. Most of us are working way too hard and bypassing the little things that make life so great. That was my big takeaway from this. It was a nice (and sometimes hilarious) reminder to stop and smell the roses.

  9. Sinner says

This movie is very cute. A bit on the cleche side, as all romantic comedies are, but it is a lot of fun.

  10. Izell says

I think I need another copy of this movie. I just love it. I watch it every time I am on the road and get a DVD player to myself. Yes, I am quite aware of how pathetic I am…

  11. Rafer says

I have moved this movie to the top of my all-time favorites list. Kate Winslett was superb, but so were all the principal characters. The chemistry between Eli Wallach and Kate was fantastic. Any time I’m feeling down this movie makes me happy and when I’m not down I still love it! Yes, it’s a chick flick, but in my opinion Nancy Meyers is a great writer/director, who allowed Jack Black to improvise with excellent results. My significant other has watched it with me at least 5 times, so it’s a chick flick that guys enjoy too!

  12. Piper says

Cameron Diaz and Jude Law have total chemistry, unfortunately Jack Black and Kate Winslet don’t. Cameron and Jude’s characters save the day though and carry the whole movie. Kate’s friendship with her neighbor does your heart good. In spite of the lack of chemistry between one of the two couples in the movie, I’ve probably watched it at least 50 times. Makes me feel like love is still possible. And who wouldn’t want to watch Jude Law?

I’ve bought and used this product as well as many sets of shrinky dink plastic. This one is nice as there are pictures preprinted on the plastic; they’re ready to color (as opposed to having to tediously trace your own image). The kit contains materials to make a little “tree”; it’s nothing more than silver pipe cleaners twisted around a central dowel. You might be better off with a very small fake tree from the craft store, but the finished ornaments (1/2″-1″) are scaled perfectly for the little tree you can build.

Unlike another reviewer, I did not have problems with shrinking the plastic from this kit or any other of the kits I’ve owned, even after forgetting a trayfull of shrinkydinks and leaving them in the oven way too long. My only shrinky dink caveats are to use the plainest, thinest, cheapest pan you’ve got. Those fancy stoneware pans might cook great brownies but they take forever to heat up so aren’t such a good S-D choice. And I’ve found that it’s best to let the S-Ds cool on their pan a bit before taking them out. They’re just a smidge flexible straight from the oven but cool and harden quickly so if you pull it off your pan right away you’ll warp it and then it will harden like that.

Although I gave this item as a gift, it is very enjoyable for the kids as they can do it with mom/dad and have fun with it as well. This item was not found in local stores so having a different variety to make was very fun too.

  15. Cha says

I bought this for a holiday project night with my 5 Grandkids ranging in age from 2 to 11. Everyone shared the pencils and had fun coloring the SD’s and then peeking thru the oven window watching them shrink. The older ones helped the younger children cutting them out. Very nice concept with enough SD’s for all and little bead** ornaments. (**these are small enough to be a choke hazard)

The only knock I would give this is the tree — it is only flimsy pipe cleaners. Little hands need a sturdier tree. As written earlier I would also recommend a 10″-12″ artificial tree from somewhere else.

  16. Nguyen says

These are not the Shrinky-Dinks we grew up with. I cannot describe my frustration with this product. My daughter and I spent over two hours getting the decorations colored, and I was so happy to share one of my fondest childhood memories with her. My elation turned to horror as we waited for them to bake and watched them go beyond shrinking and actually curl back into themselves. There was no way to flatten them–we tried–so our two hour preparation was for naught. So, I would recommend buying these only if you want to relive your childhood as one big stomach cramp.

  17. Blevins says

Terrific fun! You make the tree with glittery silver pipe-cleaners, then decorate with shrinky dinks and beads. My 3 year old loved decorating the plastic and watching it shrink, and I had lots of fun with the ones that she decided I was allowed to do. Am trying to order more, but unavalible for this year…

These towels are beautiful and well-made. Larger than the normal finger tip towel. They were a great deal and will look great in the powder room next Christmas.
